Guidelines for the microbiological assessment of water

These Guidelines are designed to assist those involved in the microbiological assessment of the following types of water samples:

• Drinking,
• Packaged and ice,
• Natural fresh,
• Cooling/wash,
• Marine/estuarine,
• Recycled/reclaimed
• Effluent

The Guidelines collate and standardise methods for analysis by which the Department of Health WA (DOH) expects all specified samples to be tested.
