The 'Statutory Medical Notifications' website is an initiative of the Executive Director Public Health in the Department of Health, Western Australia.
The Disaster Management, Regulation and Planning Directorate fulfils the statutory responsibilities of the Executive Director, Public Health under the Health Act 1911 and other population health legislation in the Health portfolio. The Director and Principal Medical Officer works with the relevant sections of the Public Health Division in implementing the existing legislation and plays a role in the amendment and updating of existing legislation and the development of new legislation.
The Directorate also provides advice regarding public health and public health medicine.
