Virus Watch, Virus News and EDSS News are produced by the Communicable Disease Control Directorate (CDCD) together with the following key collaborators. General practice data is collected by members of the Sentinel Practitioners Network of Western Australia, SPN(WA), and collated by the Australian Sentinel Practice Research Network (ASPREN). Emergency Department data is provided by nine Perth Emergency Departments via the Emergency Department Information System (EDIS). Viral laboratory data is obtained from PathWest laboratories at QEII Medical Centre and Princess Margaret Hospital for Children as well as notification data sent by all WA laboratories to CDCD, WA Department of Health.
