The ACEM is an incorporated educational institution whose prime objective is the training and examination of specialist emergency physicians for Australia and New Zealand.

The Society represents all medical practitioners interested in or who have an involvement in emergency medicine, and aims to promote an humanitarian approach to patients, and to promote fellowship and communication in the emergency medicine community.
