The State Health Trauma Disaster Subplan has been developed as a supporting operational document to the individual hospital disaster plans and as a Subplan to Westplan-Health. This Trauma Disaster Subplan details procedures for managing a major disaster involving multiple trauma patients.

WA Burn Disaster Subplan

This WA Disaster Medical Response Team Subplan has been written following the review and updating of Westplan Health - Emergency Management and Support Plan. The Subplan outlines the Local, District (including Regional and Metropolitan) and State response required to ensure that the health emergency response is coordinated and local resources can be supplemented where necessary.

This Surge Management Plan provides guidelines to coordinate the Health Services Management of a major incident in Western Australia at local, regional and state-wide levels.

This Plan applies to all occurrences of human epidemics in the state of Western Australia managed within the legislative responsibilities of the Department of Health (DOH), and that require activation of emergency arrangements.

The aim of this State Health Emergency Management Support Plan (hereafter known as WestPlan Health) is to outline the State Health planning framework that guides the prevention, preparation, response to and recovery from, any extraordinary incident that may be classified as a major incident, disaster or emergency and incorporates a multi agency response, multiple casualties, public health threat or humanitarian assistance.
