WebEOC is a web-based crisis information management system. It provides secure real-time information sharing about an incident, enabling staff within an operations centre to improve coordination of a response.
WebEOC was purchased by the Department of Health in 2008. Using WebEOC’s interoperability features, WA Health is able to share information with and receive information from other agencies that use WebEOC. In WA these include, at present, WA Police and Main Roads WA.
Phase 1 of the implementation will be completed in March 2011.
Phase 2 of the WebEOC implementation plan is in development. Phase 2 will include access and increased functionality for metropolitan and regional hospitals, and access for other external health stakeholders. The Phase 2 implementation plan will be available for download when complete.
