The Disaster Management, Regulation and Planning Directorate (DMRPD) employs approximately 50 staff, whose role is to manage the State health disaster preparedness and management, private hospital and health facility licensing, poisons and pharmaceuticals regulation, injury prevention and public health statutory and regulatory roles for the Public Health Division within the Department of Health, Western Australia. The Directorate is divided into 5 major Branches or Units:
