Public Health Division funding for Public Health post-graduate studies
The Public Health Division is offering six scholarships, each valued at up to $5000, to current permanent staff to contribute towards the completion of post-graduate studies.
The successful applicant may use the funding towards any of the post-graduate courses, with a public health focus, being offered between 1 July 2008 and 30 June 2009. A list of possible courses is provided. Note that this list is not exhaustive. Applicants may nominate alternative postgraduate public health courses, including short courses, where it can be demonstrated that the course is relevant to their current area of work and the Department.
Where the applicant’s preferred course is valued at more than $5000, the applicant must contribute the remaining fees.
Where the applicant’s preferred course is valued at less than $5000, the applicant will only be awarded an amount equal to the course fees.
Interested persons must submit:
- an up to date resume
- a transcript of their previous academic record
- a written confirmation from their current supervisor that this course is relevant to their employment and supported by them
- contact details for two additional referees and
- a covering letter
Applications may be subject to interview.
